Automatic Tea Bag and Pyramid Tea Bag Packaging Line – Tecnomeccanica, 2015

We offer a complete automatic tea packaging line manufactured by the Italian company Tecnomeccanica in 2015. The system is designed for the production of tea bags in both traditional filter bag format and premium pyramid tea bag format.

The line performs the entire packaging process, from raw material preparation and dosing to the final cartoning of retail-ready products.

Production Process

1. Product Preparation – Sieving Unit

An optional sieving unit is available with the line. The system separates larger tea leaves, fruit pieces, and herbal components from fine dust and smaller particles before dosing. This ensures a more uniform product, improved appearance, and higher-quality finished tea bags.

2. Product Dosing

Automatic weighing and dosing of tea into the filter material.

3. Bag Forming and Sealing

Production and sealing of individual tea bags or pyramid tea bags.

4. String and Tag Attachment

Automatic attachment and heat sealing of the string and tag to each tea bag.

5. Individual Overwrapping

Each tea bag is individually packed in a protective paper or foil envelope to preserve freshness, aroma, and product quality.

6. Cartoning

The packaged tea bags are automatically counted, grouped, and packed into retail cartons according to the required quantity.

7. Product Discharge

Finished cartons can be sent directly to storage or distribution, or transferred to downstream packaging equipment as part of a larger production line.
