PTK PR-2000 Rotary Tablet Press – Industrial Tablet Manufacturing Press

We offer a PTK PR-2000 rotary tablet press, designed for the industrial production of tablets from powder materials. The machine is equipped with a powder feeding system, a filling station, and a set of punches and dies. The compression process takes place on a rotating turret.

The tablet press has been designed for production applications where stable compression parameters, process adjustment and repeatability of tablet production are important.

Actual production capacity depends, among other factors, on the type and properties of the compressed material, tablet size and compression force used. Therefore, the maximum values should be regarded as machine specifications rather than guaranteed output for every product.

Powder Feeding System

The tablet press is equipped with a system designed for controlled feeding of material into the compression zone. The documentation lists, among others:

• powder hopper,
• hopper cover,

• powder transfer pipe,

• discharge chute,
• ejection scraper block.

Depending on the configuration, optional components may also be available, such as a powder loader, dust collector and additional equipment systems.

Tooling – Punches and Dies

The PR-2000 can operate with different tooling configurations. The manufacturer's documentation specifies, among others, EU-B, EU-D, TSM-B and TSM-D punches, together with corresponding die configurations.

The selection of tooling directly affects the possible size and shape of the tablets produced. When purchasing a used machine, it is recommended to verify which set of punches and dies is currently installed and included, as the documentation presents several possible configurations.

Process Adjustment and Parameters

The tablet press allows adjustment of parameters related to the compression process, including the penetration depth of the upper punch, which according to the documentation is 1–4 mm.

The maximum compression force is 100 kN. However, the manufacturer states that the maximum compression force varies depending on tablet size and the required production output.

• control voltage: 24 VDC.

The machine also requires a supply of clean and dry compressed air.

According to the documentation:

Cleaning and Production Maintenance

Due to the contact of working parts with powder materials, proper machine cleaning is particularly important. The manufacturer recommends using cleaning agents with a pH of 7–8, free from chlorine and chlorine compounds.

A soft cloth is recommended for cleaning. The documentation prohibits the use of high-pressure hot steam and compressed air for removing dust and powder.

Particular attention should be paid to parts that come into contact with the powder and to recesses in the dies. The manufacturer provides an appropriate cleaning tool for this purpose.

Maintenance and Operational Safety

The tablet press requires regular lubrication. The documentation specifies, among others:

• oil for the main reduction gearbox,
• oil for the lubrication pump,
• grease.

The manufacturer also recommends regular inspection of the machine's technical condition, tightening of connections and checking of safety components.

The machine guards are equipped with locks, and access to the keys should be restricted to authorized personnel.
